The appeal of this rustic pine table comes from the well worn top reflecting generations of use.
It originally served as a work table, resulting in the worn patina with cracks, gouges, scrapes, multiple stains, and age related separation of the planks.
A back and side rim are seen along three sides leaving the front work space open/accessible. This tray style top may have been added at a later date, as the trestle base appears to be a slightly lighter color. 
This pine table has been restored so it is strong and stable; wax finish. Top is secured firmly to base.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the appeal nor function of this old work table.
