Original painted Swedish hanging corner cabinet dated 1784, crafted in pine with canted sides and front formed with heavier paneled construction. The cabinet retains its original paint, including a floral tulip motif in the central panel. The palette is a soft blue with teal undertones, accented by red, white, and blue flowers with green leaves. The date “1784” was reapplied at a later time.
Age and use are evident throughout, with significant surface distress including wear along edges and separation and distress visible along the front, crown, base, and  painted surfaces. The crown has been repaired multiple times due to cracking. The back shows wormhole activity and heavy distress. Age-related separation is present at the top, though it is not visible when the cabinet is hung.
There is no lock. A key is included for decorative purposes only. A snap closure has been added to secure the door. Restored and stable, this Swedish country piece is ready to hang and enjoy.
