Early 19th Century Original Painted Danish Chest of Four Drawers

Early 19th-century Danish pine chest of four drawers retaining its original hand-painted finish. The background appears a greenish-brown tone, with each drawer decorated with painted floral motifs on white panels. The painted decoration continues along the sides, creating a cohesive and highly decorative surface.
Age-related separation is visible along the side panels. The top shows typical cracks, staining, old dried wormhole activity, and softened remnants of paint worn down to the natural pine patina through years of use. The lower two drawer bottoms show significant age-related separation, while the upper two drawers were repaired at an earlier time for the same issue. There are no keys or functioning locks. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use, this chest is a special find due to the quality and preservation of its original painted decoration.
