Large English Bleached Oak Bookcase Display Cabinet with Glass Doors, circa 1900

Large English bookcase, crafted in oak and bleached to create a lighter, fresher appearance. Variations of lighter and darker tones remain visible throughout the wood, giving the display cabinet a warm and naturally aged patina. Darker trim outlines the drawer fronts and creates subtle contrast across the lower section.
The upper cabinet has three glass doors accented with wood trim arranged in distinctive geometric patterns across the glass panes. The doors open using the keys as pulls only, as the locks do not function. Interior shelves are removable, allowing the display space to be adjusted for books, serving ware, collections, or decorative objects.
The lower section includes ten drawers, offering numerous storage possibilities. Each drawer is fitted with a brass pull. The cabinet is built in five sections for easier transportation and installation.
Age related nicks, cracks, and wear are visible throughout. Some separation is present along the drawer fronts and sides. Very old residual wormholes are also visible but are dry and no longer active. These signs of age add to the character of this handsome large-scale cabinet and do not affect its function. Restored, strong, stable, and ready to use.
