Antique original hand painted trunk dated 1886. The name Lisabeta Greif is also visible. 
The original blue painted finish has been worn and distressed through generations of use; much of the old pine is revealed especially along the top.
Note the red painted panels that display a cross, anchor and heart; representing faith, hope and love. 
The interior opens to reveal a traditional interior "box" to hold small personal items.
Restored and waxed, this trunk is strong and ready for use. 
The trunk reveals wear, dings, nicks, worn/distressed paint, missing old lock, age separations, etc. None of which impact the function nor aged appeal of this flat top trunk.
