Pine Writing Desk with Five Drawers, Denmark circa 1890

This delightful antique desk is known as a "Hans Christian Andersen" desk. One similar to this can be viewed in the Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense, Denmark which was home to the famous author.
Traditional features seen here include the natural pine, 5 drawers and turned legs. It will serve as a great work table in a small space thanks to the 5 functional drawers and raised lip that will contain paperwork or other items. The attractive turned legs add to the visual appeal as well.
The entire desk has been restored and waxed, bringing out the warmth of the European pine. Note the dovetail joints used by the craftsman in its construction.
Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the appeal nor function of this desk.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
